Community Outreach

Northport Fire Department provides medical standbys for community events, particularly those with a high likelihood for injury or illness. This has previously included the Cow Harbor 10K Race, polar bear plunges, and the Northport High School Pre-Prom.

If you're organizing such an event and are interested in partnering with the department, please contact us as soon as possible!

The Northport Fire Department provides CPR/AED training to members of the public. If you're interested in becoming certified, reach out to learn more about our next class.

Keep an eye out in December for Santa's visits throughout the community. Every year, the fire department takes great pride in escorting Santa and his festive crew throughout the district in order to spread joy and cheer. Look for "community stop" posters in your neighborhood!

Every fall, the fire department hosts "Meet Your Friend the Firefighter" at Northport Fire Department headquarters. It provides an opportunity for young children to interact with members of the department, particularly those dressed in turnout gear, so that if they ever need help, they know who they can turn to.
