NORTHPORT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
Northport Fire District
Northport Fire Headquarters is located at 204 Main Street in the middle of downtown Northport.
Station #1 is located at 22 Waterside Road.
The Northport Fire District includes the Villages of Northport and Asharoken, as well as parts of Eatons Neck and Fort Salonga.
The department shares borders with the East Northport, Centerport, Kings Park, and Eatons Neck fire departments.
Engine Company
The Engine company responds out of Headquarters. Their primary focus is on fire suppression and containment.
This company's apparatus includes engines 2-9-3, 2-9-4, and 2-9-8, as well as heavy rescue 2-9-10 and water rescue 2-9-20.
Truck Company
The Truck Company responds out of Station #1. Their primary focus is on search and rescue, forcible entry, and ventilation.
This company's apparatus includes ladder 2-9-7 and engine 2-9-6.
Rescue Squad
The Rescue Squad responds out of both stations, with members also being placed into the engine or truck companies. Their primary focus is on medical care.
This company's apparatus includes ambulances 2-9-5, 2-9-15, and 2-9-25, as well as QRVs 2-9-9, 2-9-80 and 2-9-MEDIC. The Rescue Squad also operates specialty apparatus including ATV 2-9-28 and several EMS bikes.
Fire Police
The Fire Police respond out of Headquarters alongside the Engine Company. They are responsible for scene control and traffic direction.
This company's apparatus includes QRVs 2-9-11, 2-9-12, and 2-9-14.
